Dr. Smith has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Winston-Salem since July of 1994. He completed his high school education in Greensboro, NC and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both his undergraduate and his dental education. Following dental school he completed a one year hospital dental residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He then completed a four year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery also at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Following his oral surgical training, he returned to North Carolina and has been practicing with Drs. Quadland, and Shehan since that time. Dr. Smith obtained certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1996.
